NOTE - we will sell 50% of the squash plants (seeds) we have ahead of time. We will have the remaining squash available for purchase on pick up days. If the order form shows "sold out" it is likely we still have several of those plants. Please request them at pick up.
(This is in case some of our seeds don't germinate. We want to make sure we can fill the orders placed / don't want to disappoint anyone)
Summer squash
Black Beauty zucchini
Black Beauty Zucchini are the most popular type of summer squash, and for good reason. It's easy to grow and produces a generous crop all season long.
Early Prolific Straightneck
Thin with firm, fine-grained 'meat,' Delicious raw, picked or cooked. They are best picked between 4"-7".
Winter squash
Delicata
Delicatas are sweet, small, oblong fruits that can be eaten with the skin after baking or boiling. They grow from one to one and a half pounds each.
Golden Hubbard
Golden Hubbards have starchy, nutty, fine grained flesh and grow from eight to twelve pounds. They are good for baking and roasting and store well.
Jack Be Little
These little pumpkins are just 3-4" across and 2" tall. They are perfect for decorating or painging. They grow 6-10 fruits per plant and can be grown in a large container or trellised to grow vertically.
jack-o-lantern pumpkin
Jack O Lantern Pumpkins are perfect for carving. These weigh 8-15 pounds. Put 3-4 plants per hill. When the plant starts to produce fruits, keep watered for best performance.
Spaghetti Squash
Spaghetti Squash are unique, delicious squash that are easy to grow. Vining plants produce 12" long oblong fruits that store well into the winter. Enjoy steamed, boiled or baked. The cooked flesh separates into spaghetti-like strands.
Waltham Butternut
This variety is the result of years of refinement by the Massachusetts Agricultural Experiment Station. They have a straight neck, and a rich, dry, yellow-orange flesh with a nutty flavor. Waltham Butternut Squashes are high yielding and great for baking.
